Freedom Coast Epoxy was founded by Hunter Wise, a Pensacola native who spent nearly a decade in the U.S. Army before bringing that same discipline and precision home to the Gulf Coast. After enlisting as a mortarman out of high school — with deployments to Afghanistan and South Korea along the way — Hunter returned to Pensacola in 2023 ready to build something of his own.
The military left him with qualities you can still see on every job: discipline, resilience, and an almost obsessive attention to detail. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every floor we install.
How it all Started
Hunter's path into epoxy started with concrete restoration — patching, staining, and refinishing floors and driveways across the region from Pensacola to Freeport. Somewhere in that work, he found a genuine passion for epoxy finishes. It wasn't just the durability that drew him in; it was watching a worn-out concrete slab transform into something that looked incredible and was built to last.
That passion became Freedom Coast Epoxy, with a mission that's stayed simple ever since: combine real craftsmanship with reliability, and give our customers floors that look great and stand the test of time.
